15 Years ago I did my first wedding. I didn’t have an assistant so I brought my mother as one (thank you mom)..I dressed her in black and she was good to go! She was a huge help as always! It’s a nice memory 🙂 . I knew from that moment on, my heart and passion was in the bridal industry. I love events and fashion shows, don’t get me wrong! I love it all. And I love to take the opportunities as they come! But my true passion is bridal, they are my celebrities. To transform a woman to bride is a beautiful moment that they cherish forever. I love having the everyday woman and bringing out their most beautiful self on one the most important day of their lives.
I worked full time as an artist in NYC for a cosmetic company and with that I was also working in the bridal industry. I would mostly do weddings in the mornings on the weekends and then work full night shifts every weekend while working full time during the week. I wanted to take the leap and work for myself, but it was hard because I needed that stability of working full time. However, my heart and passion wanted to go out on my own and create a business doing what I love. I just couldn’t do both anymore. It was taking a toll on my body. And kept me back from pursuing my dreams.
It was a lot of back and forth battle within myself to follow my dream.
Do I take the leap? I’m scared.
Can I cut the cord with a company I’ve put so many years of hard work in? What if it’s the wrong decision to leave? But I haven’t grown within myself or with the company….
Am I happy? No..not at all
Is this it? Is this what I’ll be doing the rest of my life? Work 40+ hours a week, sleep, & repeat? Live Pay check to pay check.
I knew I needed to make a move deep down inside.
As time went on I did get very very ill for a long year with 8 months of being admitted in the hospital.
However, this is where my shift happened
Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.
This is when I found Limelife by Alcone! I now have my own makeup business along with my bridal business <3
It amazes me how dreams collide
My life is exactly where I was meant to bloom
Cut that cord, Take the leap, you’ll thank your future self <3
love what you do, do what you love
